Tibetan Meditation
Simply said, Tibetan meditation consists of spiritual excercises which lead to more inner peace, concentration, clarity, compassion, consciousness and freedom.
The specific meditation forms are known as shine (shamatha), lhaktong (Vipahasyana) and tonglen.
With Tibetan yoga is meant; physical exercises with a spiritual character or aim. In the orginal meaning of the word it can also include all kinds of meditation, but here the western interpretation of the word is used.
Tibetan yoga is not so well known in the western world. Many forms of Tibetan yoga are only practised in closed groups by initiated. The reason for this is the thorough impact the yoga can have, which needs good escort. Recently more accessible forms of Tibetan yoga have appeared.
The lessons are only accessible for people with meditation/yoga experience and/or distinct motivation.
